Hi, I am a Tibetan living in Europe who travels often back to Tibet. My last stay in Tibet was in March this year. I was traveling in Eastern Tibet when Bjork sang "Tibet! Tibet! Declare Independence" in shanghai on 4th March and I returned back to Europe on 6th March. The sino-Tibet conflict later on made me to cancle my rest plans to visit Tibet this year and really looking forward to return to Tibet soon.

As a young man grew up in Tibet and had the oportunity to visit India (where I had the opotunity to see the Dalai Lama on serveral ocations), being as European having the chances to visit Tibet easily I must say I am so much previlidged to explore the land I was born. I use every oportunity to travel to Tibet since 1998(sometimes 5 times a year) and lately I provide sustainable tourism to the Tibetan Areas.

There is no question of that Chinese have conquered Tibet and the government of P.R. of China is controlling Tibet with its iron fist. But my personal view is not that the Chinese or the Chinese government is the determaining the Tibetan culture and Tradition. Rather I would say the main Thing would be the mordernazation is challanging the Perservation of Tibetan Culture and Tradition. Sometimes I read critics saying that the Young Tibetans sing in Chinese language and do not sing in Tibetan Language which I personally do not blame any Chiese or the government as I know simply it is because the young Tibetans singers want to reach wider public and the music producers want to make more money. So if the young Tibetan musicians sing the song about Tibet in Chinese language would reach to millions of Chinese and the market of the Song in Tibetan language would be much smaller.
