21 Film Screenings Scheduled so far for the ‘Dalai Lama Renaissance’ Documentary Film and Director Tour of England, Scotland & Ireland

Coinciding with the Dalai Lama’s 2012 Summer European visit, Dalai Lama Renaissance (narrated by Harrison Ford) and Director Khashyar Darvich travel to the United Kingdom and Europe for an 8 week screening and Director Q&A tour June-July 2012

 

LONDON - Dalai Lama Renaissance Producer-Director Khashyar Darvich is packing his bags and preparing to travel from his home in Los Angeles to London on May 30 for the beginning of his award-winning film’s 21 screening film tour of England, Scotland and Ireland.

The documentary film (which is narrated by Harrison Ford) has won 12 awards, is the official selection of over 40 film festivals, and has screened in hundreds of cities around the world in mutliple languages.

Filmmaker Darvich himself has traveled and appeared for Director Q&A’s with Dalai Lama Renaissance for at least 300 international film screenings.

“One of the most rewarding aspects in producing and directing Dalai Lama Renaissance,” says Director Darvich, “is sharing the film and its inner journey of personal transformation with audiences, and hearing the insights and new perspectives that they share with me.”

Aside from the Dalai Lama, the film also features Quantum Physicists Fred Alan Wolf and Amit Goswami (from What the Bleep Do We Know), Michael Beckwith (The Secret), and other notable and rennaissance thinkers.

Dalai Lama Film and Director travel to Australia for film tour

The Dalai Lama Renaissance Film (narrated by Harrison Ford), and Producer-Director Khashyar Darvich, are headed to Australia for a 5 week tour from Nov 26 - Dec 23.

Hello Everyone,

I just learned that there have been 11 screenings and Director Q&A’s that have been scheduled so far for the Australian ‘Dalai Lama Renaissance’ film tour, from Nov 26 through Dec 23.

We expect additional dates to be scheduled soon, and I will add more details as I have them.

I am pleased that the film, which is narrated by Harrison Ford and of course features the Dalai Lama, will be soon shared with Australian audiences.

I will try to get some rest while I am in Australia, but… attending each screening, and speaking with audiences afterwards about their personal experience of the transformation illustrated in the film, is more important than laying in the sun on an Australian beach  :)

Although I will try to find a couple of days, and time within each day, to explore Sydney, Melbourne and Sydney a bit.

"Dalai Lama Renaissance" will have its New York premiere at the prestigous Rubin Museum of Art on Feb 21, 2009

 

NEW YORK, NY — ‘Dalai Lama Renaissance,’ the feature documentary about the Dalai Lama narrated by Harrison Ford, premieres theatrically in New York City at the prestigious Rubin Museum of Art on February 21, 2009.

‘Dalai Lama Renaissance’ tells the story of 40 Western innovative thinkers who travel to India to meet with the Dalai Lama to solve the problem of world peace. What happened was surprising and unexpected, and was captured by a five-camera, 18-person crew.

The film features two of the starring quantum physicists from the hit theatrical documentary ‘What the Bleep Do We Know,’ Fred Alan Wolf and Amit Goswami. Also appearing in ‘Dalai Lama Renaissance’ are Michael Beckwith (who appears in ‘The Secret’ with Wolf), Air America radio host Thom Hartmann, and other prominent figures.

Screening dates and times for ‘Dalai Lama Renaissance’ at the Rubin Museum of Art are:
  * Sat., Feb. 21, at 4 and 6 p.m.
  * Sun., Feb. 22, at 4 and 6 p.m.
  * Sat., Feb. 28, at 4 and 6 p.m.
  * Sun., March 1, at 4 p.m.

Producer-Director Khashyar Darvich will attend the screenings on Feb. 21 and 22 to discuss the film with audiences.

This is the first film about the Dalai Lama and Tibet to open theatrically in the United States since the international spotlight placed on China for its firm handling of Tibetan protesters speaking out against Chinese policies in Tibet.

“I narrated ‘Dalai Lama Renaissance,’” says Harrison Ford, “because I believe His Holiness is making a positive influence in our world.  For me, the film represented an opportunity to continue assisting the optimistic efforts of an extraordinary individual.”

There is a new documentary about Amit Goswami that is very close to being released entitled “The Quantum Activist.”

It looks like a very interesting film that takes an in-depth look in the Amit’s work as a Quantum Physicist, as he bridges the gap between quantum physics and spirituality.
